1、 Traditional asynchronous motors
Traditional asynchronous motors are a commonly used type of motor in sewage treatment plants. It has the characteristics of low starting current, stable speed, and good reliability and stability under various operating conditions. Meanwhile, the manufacturing cost of asynchronous motors is relatively low, and they are also easy to replace. However, due to the existence of a certain differential speed between the rotor and stator of asynchronous motors, it will bring about certain energy waste problems, and the overall performance is also relatively average.
2、 New type of permanent magnet synchronous motor
In recent years, new types of permanent magnet synchronous motors have gradually been applied in sewage treatment plants. Compared to traditional asynchronous motors, permanent magnet synchronous motors have higher efficiency and lower noise, while also providing greater output power. Moreover, permanent magnet synchronous motors achieve synchronization of rotor magnetic field and harmonic, without the rotor current loss problem of traditional asynchronous motors, thus having higher energy utilization efficiency. However, the manufacturing cost of permanent magnet synchronous motors is relatively high, and their dynamic response and starting performance are relatively weak, so comprehensive consideration is needed in the selection and application of motors.
3、 Motor selection needs to be comprehensively considered
In short, the types of motors used in sewage treatment plants need to be comprehensively considered based on actual needs, and it is not advisable to pursue the selection of only one type of motor. It is necessary to consider factors such as specific application scenarios, motor usage requirements, and economic benefits in order to provide better guarantees and development space for the operation of sewage treatment plants.
